Here’s a journaling challenge themed around Sagittarius season, which is the season we are currently in. Even if you do not follow the astrological calendar, it’s the perfect time of year to let go and get clear on your values, before the hectic atmosphere of the holidays and the beginning of a new year.

On Letting Go & Release

  1. What heavy belief must I drop right now to aim my arrow higher?
  2. If I released the need to control the outcome, what space would open up for spontaneity?
  3. What purpose has my current stagnation served, and how can I thank it before saying goodbye?
  4. Which specific memory am I replaying that no longer fits the person I am becoming?
  5. If I treated my energy like a limited currency, what expense would I cut immediately?

On Paradigm Shifting (Reframing)

  1. If I viewed my current biggest obstacle as an epic adventure, how would my strategy change?
  2. What “impossible” goal becomes plausible if I simply assume I am capable of learning anything?
  3. How would I describe my life right now if I were writing it as a triumph rather than a tragedy?
  4. If I stopped asking “Why is this happening to me?” and started asking “What is this teaching me?”, what lesson appears?
  5. What if my sensitivity is not a weakness to fix, but a strategic advantage to utilize?

Motivational Interviewing (Exploring Change)

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is it for me to make a change this month, and why isn’t the number lower?
  2. What are the three most compelling reasons my future self would give me to start today?
  3. How does my current behavior conflict with my core value of freedom?
  4. What is the worst-case scenario if I change, and how would I realistically handle it?
  5. What evidence do I have from my past that proves I have the ability to succeed in this new chapter?

Sagittarius Energy (Expansion & Truth)

  1. Where in my life am I playing small to make others feel comfortable?
  2. What is the most honest truth I have been avoiding, and what happens if I speak it out loud?
  3. If I could travel anywhere (physically or intellectually) to find a new perspective, where would I go?
  4. How can I inject a sense of play and philosophical curiosity into my mundane responsibilities?
  5. If I aim for my wildest ambition without fear of judgment, what is the very first step I must take?
